Founded by Chuck Zucco in 1999, the Educational Testing Institute (ETI) is the oldest MTEL test prep service in Massachusetts. Only one year after the MTEL was developed, Chuck designed a unique method of instruction inspired by his own experience and insight in the field of special education. ETI teaches students how to think differently about test questions so they have the best chance at success, even in the face of uncertainty. Every instructor Chuck invites to the team is either certified in special education or ELL (English Language Learner).
Chuck Zucco, founder and president of ETI, has spent decades helping students of all ages excel in standardized testing—from elementary school through graduate exams like the SAT, GRE, MTEL, and Praxis I. He holds a master’s degree in social work from Boston University and is certified as an adjustment counselor and secondary principal in Massachusetts. Currently, Chuck also serves as the chair of the special education department at a public high school in Merrimack Valley.
Chuck’s deep understanding of learning challenges and his passion for education led him to develop ETI’s renowned test prep programs, which have supported countless future educators in launching successful careers. His commitment to breaking down barriers has made ETI a welcoming, supportive, and results-driven community.
ETI provides test prep service that goes beyond repetitive drills. Students learn to think differently about test questions, so they have the best chance at success.
ETI has been hired by several public school districts, private schools, and colleges to ensure educators have the tools they need to pass the MTEL and begin a bright, new career.
ETI was founded to serve future educators who are not natural test-takers, we only staff instructors with a proven ability to adapt to a range of learning styles and unique needs.
ETI is about more than test prep. Our team is here to open doors, instill confidence, and create new possibilities for the next generation of teachers.
After taking Chuck's class, I finally passed the test. I went back to the Chuck, after having a hard time passing my elementary sub-test. I passed 2 months later. I highly recommend Chuck and Pass the MTEL.

I had tried a couple times on my own, I had come close to passing, but didn't. I met with him and he was wonderful and patient. He showed me how to break down all the problems and worked with me. I recommend Chuck.

I was stuck because I had to pass the program and I didn't know if I can do that by myself. I started tutoring weekly and was able to identify where I was struggling and wasn't. Finally, I felt comfortable and passed.

I had taken a couple courses to pass the MTEL and it wasn't helpful. Chuck's pace was fabulous, you do some work in class and then extra work throughout the week. I finally had the peace of mind, to pass the test.

I needed to pass the General Curriculum Math test to teach Special Education. I took preparatory classes in college. But didn't pass. I signed up for Pass the MTEL. They had specific strategies, it made all the difference.

My aunt recommended I work with Chuck because of her experience. I had private lessons because of my schedule. Chuck was knowledgeable about what things that were on the MTEL tests.

First worked with him, as my private tutor and then took the classes. With the one-on-one tutoring, I was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses. After taking the exam 5 times, I was finally able to pass because of Chuck's help. I owe you my gratitude.

I took the writing portion of the MTEL ten times before taking this course. I'm from Brazil and English is not my first language. I just followed the program, and I passed the test right after taking this course. Best money I ever spent.
